After a first look at the 2015 lineup for San Francisco's Treasure Island Music Festival, revealed today, I felt a flash of nostalgia for Monterey's short-lived First City Festival.

Most likely because the two-day festival, happening Oct. 17 and 18, boasts a few of the same artists who played First City.

The National headlined the Fairgrounds in 2014, and Father John Misty and Deerhunter Monterey in 2013.

In addition to those three, highlights include The War on Drugs, Run the Jewels, Mikal Cronin, Panda Bear, deadmau5, STS9, Robyn (debuting her new project La Bagatelle Magique), CHVRCHES, Jose Gonzalez, Drive Like Jehu and Hudson Mohawke.

Also appearing: Azealia Banks, Ex Hex, Baio, Viet Cong, Ought, Gorgon City, Cashmere Cat, Lower Dens, Shamir and Bob Moses.

Treasure Island two-day general admission and VIP tix go on sale 10am Thursday, June 11.
