April showers bring May flowers—and the start of rosé season. The sun is shining (maybe) and that means rosé is beginning to flow at local restaurants. There are a pair of parties on the horizon to help you get into the pink.
Look for rooftop rosé at Grasing’s on Tuesday, May 22 from 5:30-7:30pm. Wine Director Chris Edmonds welcomes Planet Wines’ Alice Cormery, who will pour a selection of European and American rosé wines in a sunset sipping session on the rooftop. Chef-owner Kurt Grasing will provide small bites to pair with the wine.
The tasting lineup includes sparkling rosé from Provence and Burgundy, plus rosé selections from Sancerre, Bandol, and Corsica. $25, waived with bottle purchase.
And mark your calendars for a rosé patio party at Montrio Bistro on Sunday, May 27 from 5-7pm.
Try rosé wines from around the world, including favorites from right here on the Central Coast. Wine director Christian Adams also teases guest appearances from local winemakers. Tip: stay for dinner, because Sundays also bring half-off wines by the bottle, which will include wines from the patio party and the restaurant’s full wine list. $10.
