Enter the 15-incher.

Historically most of my pilgrimages to north Seaside's iconic Baldemiro's Taco Shop (899-2231) have been for the rolled tacos smothered in guacamole.

I don't eat much beef, either. That's one indication how classic and satisfying they are, loaded up with enough guacamole, shredded lettuce and diced tomato to make a meal out of three, though they're available in units of six too.

Now there's a new reason to visit.

A man with a penchant for quirk and culture, Weekly photog Nic Coury, alerted me to the jumbo burrito there.

I needed to see it. To understand it. To know it.

The numbers don't lie:

• 3 pounds, 7 ounces, according to the Weekly postal scale

• 2 tortillas

• 15 inches

More telling: the smile with which Angel handed it over.

The main reason I'll return for it: the reactions it inspired.

Two of them appear here:

"That's not a burrito, that's a burro," staff writer and naked yoga enthusiast Nick Rahaim said.

"That's a what-she-said burrito," business development director and Green Bay Packer apologist Keely Richter added.

Three rolled tacos run $3.75.

The jumbo costs $12.

Or $0.80 an inch.
