Two writers walk into Hula’s. Instead of diving deep into a dinner entrée, they choose to graze through Hula’s varied appetizers. The writer with the long locks calls the pork sliders “a spicy wave of flavor,” while the frizzy-haired writer notes all the goodness tucked into the slider’s pillowy buns. The longhair stuffs the spicy edamame into his mouth until he begs the waitress for a pint of water. The frizzy-haired fellow opts for the terrific seared ahi wontons, which come out like nachos topped with medallions of tuna. They both agree the meal of appetizers was superbly flavorful and totally filling. This is based on a true story.
