The Revenge Python
They say breaking up is hard to do. But this would be hard-core breaking up to do. Married docs Mary Kay Brewster and Chris Clevenger, an ob-gyn and orthopedist, respectively, split in epic fashion. Brewster, learning her husband had been banging OR nurses (plural) at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, set out on a course of destruction, spraying pesticides on one of the nurse’s landscaping and telling her she was going to die. And then she bought a ball python and shoved it through the bedroom window of her estranged husband’s new abode, along with a trio of rats to keep it there. Why? Because nothing scared Clevenger more than snakes. Unfortunately for Brewster, he didn’t find it - one of his ex-girlfriends did. What did it amount to? A restraining order for him, a felony trial for her. The snake is the only one who got a happy ending - it was taken in by a snake rescue society and then adopted by a good family.
