The unpretentious, bygone era decor of the Elks Lodge bar – and miles of 1970s wood paneling – never seems like it’s outdated. Nor do the generously-poured cocktails (we’re talking Kettle and Makers caliber) that have been offered for a few bucks since the elder Bush was in office. And the panoramic, 180-degree view of the Monterey Bay, viewable from the comfort of a barstool, reminds us why we love living here. The Elks Lodge bar is open to members and their guests.
