Hartnell College held a grand opening today for revamped baseball, softball and soccer fields. The ball fields feature new batting cages and bullpens, positioning the Salinas community college to host post-season contest and elite tournaments, the college announced.

"The soccer field’s renovations include grass turf, FIFA soccer goals, scoreboards, and a viewing area for fans," the college said in a statement. "The field is compliant with FIFA dimensions, opening up a myriad of hosting possibilities for Hartnell."

Men's baseball and women's softball games are taking place now.
