My History
With a lifetime of public service, including four terms as Governor of California, I have dedicated my career to the well-being and safety of the people of our state. From managing California through crises like wildfires and droughts to championing environmental sustainability and public safety, I have always prioritized the protection and resilience of our communities. Now, I am ready to bring that experience and commitment to the Cachagua Fire Protection District.
The Cachagua region is no stranger to the challenges posed by wildfires and other natural disasters. Ensuring the safety and preparedness of our community requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the complexities of fire management and emergency response. With my extensive background in public safety and environmental stewardship, I am uniquely qualified to lead our fire protection district as we work to protect our homes, families, and natural surroundings.
My Plans
As your Director for the Cachagua Fire Protection District, I will bring my extensive experience in governance, crisis management, and environmental protection to ensure that our community is well-prepared, resilient, and supported in the face of any emergency. My focus will be on strengthening our fire protection services, enhancing community preparedness, and promoting sustainable practices that reduce fire risk.
Strengthening Fire Protection Services: I will work to ensure that our fire protection district has the resources, training, and equipment needed to effectively respond to emergencies. This includes advocating for increased funding, improved infrastructure, and ongoing training for our dedicated firefighters and emergency personnel.
Enhancing Community Preparedness: Preparedness is key to minimizing the impact of disasters. I will promote initiatives that engage and educate the community on fire safety, evacuation planning, and emergency response. Together, we can build a more resilient Cachagua by ensuring that every resident knows how to protect themselves and their property.
Environmental Stewardship and Fire Prevention: As a longtime advocate for environmental sustainability, I understand the critical link between land management and fire risk. I will support sustainable land-use practices, including controlled burns, vegetation management, and forest restoration, to reduce the likelihood of catastrophic wildfires and protect our natural resources.
