My History

I have lived in Seaside for over 50 years and dedicated my life to serving this community. For 35 of those years, I worked as the Recreation Coordinator for the City of Seaside, where I focused on enhancing recreational opportunities for our residents. I have always believed in the power of community engagement and teamwork. During my tenure, I also served as a President and member of the Seaside Employees Association, advocating for our city's employees and working to ensure fair treatment and support for all.

Beyond my professional life, I have been deeply involved in various community organizations, including the California Chapter of The United States Junior Chamber, where I held several leadership positions. I have always found great value in mentorship and have coached youth sports, supported local events, and been a consistent presence in the lives of many young people in our city.

As a city council member for the past three terms, my focus has been on making meaningful improvements to our city’s parks and infrastructure. I believe in building a Seaside that meets the needs of both current and future generations. Whether it is through expanding green spaces, modernizing public facilities, or supporting initiatives that uplift our local community, my commitment to Seaside is unwavering. I am proud of my contributions and continue to strive to be a strong advocate for all of Seaside’s residents.

My Plans

In this term, I aim to address key issues that impact Seaside residents, particularly around affordable housing, youth opportunities, and sustainable growth. My priority is to continue advocating for affordable housing solutions that reflect our community's needs and work toward creating diverse housing options. This includes collaborating with local developers, leveraging available funding, and implementing policies that encourage responsible development.

For our young adults, I want to expand career and educational opportunities by partnering with local businesses, schools, and organizations to provide apprenticeships, training programs, and support for higher education. Our youth are the future of Seaside, and investing in their growth is essential.

I am also committed to working closely with our council and residents to support smart growth in Seaside that balances development with community needs. This includes enhancing our infrastructure, improving public spaces, and fostering an environment that welcomes new businesses and supports existing ones. Together, we can create a thriving, inclusive Seaside that provides opportunities and a high quality of life for all.
