Marin County-based artist Monica Loncola’s exhibit, On the Edge of the Pacific, is now on display in the Bird Gallery at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History through Jan. 3. Originally from the East Coast, Loncola looks at every form of life found by the ocean as art. She picks up oyster shells, coralline algae and sea urchins, using her master’s certification in science illustration from CSU Monterey Bay to her best advantage. Loncola will be part of the museum’s “Art on Tap” panel discussion at 5:30-7:30pm on Thursday, Nov. 12. 165 Forest Ave, Pacific Grove. Regular museum hours are 10am-4pm Wednesdays through Sundays.
