Sandra Button has overseen Concours d’Elegance for the past four decades. But the 2026 edition will be her last as the event’s chair.
On Thursday, Jan. 15, Button announced that she would be stepping away from operational leadership on Oct. 1. In her place, Concours directors named Vince W. Finaldi as president. He will work alongside Button planning and directing the 75th Concours d’Elegance, scheduled for Aug. 16.
Button will continue as a brand ambassador and advisor to Finaldi once he takes the wheel.
“We want this transition to be smooth, and we know it will take more than a few months,” Button said in a statement released separately. In the official announcement, she pointed out that “Vince is a car guy through and through, and I know he has both a passion and a heart for this event.”
Finaldi is a partner in Manly Stewart Finaldi, a law firm focused on cases of sexual harassment and assault, with offices in California, New York and Maryland. He also owns Finaldi Inc., a collectible car restoration and sales shop in Del Rey Oaks, specializing in European sports cars.
He also is an avid collector.
“The Concours is not a static event,” Finaldi said. “It evolves constantly because cars are always changing, tastes change, and new events spring up.”
He applauded Button for keeping the event at the forefront of collecting trends, as well as maintaining its status at the top of the global show car pyramid, adding that “I look forward to working diligently with both the Pebble Beach Concours and Pebble Beach Company teams, including Sandra and Martin Button.”
Finaldi will take over day-to-day operations on Oct. 1. Button expects to remain active as advisor and ambassador through 2028.
